Is this for snorkelers, freedivers, or both?
Both. The trip runs on shallow, sheltered reefs where snorkelers can float and watch, and first-time freedivers can learn to relax and hold their breath. You choose how deep you go — there is no pressure to do more than you enjoy.
What will you see in Amed?
Amed’s reefs are coral gardens in calm, clear water, with a shallow Japanese shipwreck close to the surface. Expect reef fish, anemones, and turtles, often within a few metres of the top — which is exactly what makes it perfect for breath-hold diving and easy snorkeling.
What does an intro freediving session cover?
Your guide teaches the basics on the surface first: how to breathe up, relax, and equalise. Then you practise gentle descents to a comfortable depth, never deeper than feels easy. It is less about going deep and more about feeling calm and weightless underwater.
