Will you really stand up on your first lesson?
Most people do. Batu Bolong is a sandy-bottomed beach break with slow, forgiving whitewater — the easiest place in Canggu to learn. With a soft foam board, an ISA-trained coach, and a maximum of 4 students, you get enough hands-on time to find your feet in two hours.
What does the lesson cover?
It starts on the sand: paddling, the pop-up, and how to read the ocean safely. Then you are in the water, catching gentle whitewater with your coach pushing you into waves and giving live feedback. By the end you are catching your own. We photograph the session so you leave with proof.
When is the best time to surf Canggu for beginners?
Mornings, usually — the wind is lightest and the waves cleanest. We time your lesson to the tide so you get the smallest, friendliest conditions, then point you toward Uluwatu when you are ready for a reef break.
