Is Discover Scuba right for a total beginner?
Yes — it is built for people who have never breathed underwater. There is no certification and no swim test, just a friendly briefing and a guided dive with a PADI instructor at your side the whole time. If you are nervous, that is the point: we go slowly, in shallow water, until breathing underwater feels natural.
What will you actually do?
After hotel pickup we run a short skills session in calm, shallow water — how to breathe, how to clear your mask, how to equalise. Then you make one guided sea dive to a maximum of 12 metres, drifting over reef while your instructor handles your buoyancy and depth. Expect reef fish, coral, and, often, a turtle.
What happens next if you love it?
Most people finish their Discover Scuba dive wanting more. The natural next step is the 3-day PADI Open Water course, which turns your one-off dive into a lifelong certification you can use anywhere in the world. Your Discover Scuba experience can often count toward it.
